How were you introduced to Cross Fit & How long have you been doing CrossFit?:

“My clients who also did cross fit told me about it, I saw their body change every time when they came to see me, it interested me about CrossFit, and decided join to CrossFit. I have been in cross fit about 6 months.”

What made you decide to join CrossFit Markham?:

“I still remember after my first class, my legs couldn’t  walk upstairs and downstairs for 2 days, it was a real challenge for me, but I liked it, I told myself this is what I want. Also I like the nice workout environment, members and coaches.”

Favourite Lifts/ Wods?:

“Squats, actually I don’t have any favourites, I just try my best to do it.”

3 Things you would definitely find in my fridge…:

“Salad leaves, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries.”

Favourite place to eat:

“Japanese Restaurant and The Keg.”

Proudest Accomplishments:

“Bike ride with my daughter in the Blue Mountain of Jamaica.”

Something people wouldn’t know about me:“I’m Chinese but I watched a lot Indian  movies. Lol!”

Biggest struggle in life? 

“I think Sickness and Death.”

Do you have a mentor, or someone you look up to? If so who?

“I don’t really have a mentor.”

Who inspires you?

“Mostly positive people and people who never gave up.”

What music I like listening to while working out: 

“I play the workout music I like.”

Anything else you would like to say :

“Just want to say that  I like CrossFit and enjoy it. And thank you to all the wonderful coaches who guided me and push me to make me stronger.”

Fitness has always been a part of Steve’s life. He literally grew up in the aerobics room and his first job was cleaning a gym. He is now a co-owner and Head Coach of one. Like other members of his family, he was born with a competitive spirit. He is a three-time CrossFit Games Regional athlete, who also participated in the CrossFit Games in 2016. He’s also competed in the Granite Games as well as Wodapalooza. As a certified coach, Steve’s specialties are perfecting movements and pushing people to a new level of mental and physical strength.
