How were you introduced to Cross Fit & How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I learned about Cross fit through my best friend. She’s been doing it for years and was always convincing me to try it out! I really don’t know why I put it off for so long because I’m really into trying out new things! One day I decided to do some research I came across Rebook Cross Fit E. Woodbridge, did my first class with Sascha (she’s freakin amazing!) and have been hooked since! I have been doing Cross fit for less than 1 year J
What made you decide to join CFM /RCFEW
I wanted to join Cross fit because I really wanted to try something new. I felt strong, but I wanted to be stronger. I wanted to learn the different types of lift techniques and just by watching my friends do all sorts of cross fit competitions, I knew this would help me. It also helped that Rebook Cross Fit E. Woodbridge was literally 5 minutes away from my work
Favourite Lifts/ Wods?
My favourite lifts are definitely back squats (tempo =D)… I also like cleans, but still not 100% there yet. I definitely still have so much to learn!
3 Things you would definitely find in my fridge…
All sorts of salad leaves, cheese and coconut water
Favourite place to eat
Any sushi or Italian restaurants
Proudest Accomplishments:
My proudest accomplishments were when I did my first half marathon in San Francisco 2 years ago and first Iron Girl Triathlon last summer. Both were such an experience and I couldn’t be more proud of my finished times🙂
Something people wouldn’t know about me:
I don’t eat meat
Biggest struggle in life?
My biggest struggle in life would probably be not having my mom around as much as I wanted her to be. She was always working to provide for us. Thank goodness I had my older sisters around who pretty much raised me
Do you have a mentor, or someone you look up to? If so who?
Definitely my mom! She raised 5 children and did everything she could to get us where we are. I’ve always looked up to her for as long as I could remember and she has always brought out the best in me.
Who inspires you?
A lot of people! I think I’m easily inspired by anyone that brings out a positive attitude in life and genuinely wants the best for me and other people around them.
What music I like listening to while working out:
I like listening to old school 90’s music for sure!
