Name ( nicknames): Fran, Best Frand

Occupation: Chiropractic Student How were you introduced to Cross Fit & How long have you been doing CrossFit?: I started just “going to the gym” about 4 years ago but I was getting bored and wanted to learn and compete in another sport besides volleyball. I had a few friends at school who were also weightlifters so I picked up learning weightlifting on my own about 2 years ago. What made you decide to join CFM /RCFEW? I knew about the Markham Weightlifting Club through looking online but I never joined because I was indecisive and never felt ready. Then I was introduced to a member at CFM who suggested that I should try signing up for one session just to see if I liked it, and so I did! Favourite Lifts/ Wods? Snatch, Clean & Jerk, Front Squats 3 Things you would definitely find in my fridge…Almond milk, leftovers, fruit Favourite place to eat:Any all you can eat sushi place Proudest Accomplishments:Balancing training, school/ studying, working, and life in general while staying relatively sane. Something people wouldn’t know about me Despite being a lover of dogs and all things fluffy, I am quite allergic to them. Biggest struggle in life? Figuring out where to eat next. Who inspires you? Molly Mackenzie ! She’s a successful vet student (soon to be doctor!), hardworking athlete, awesome teammate and friend. What music I like listening to while working out: Something we can sing and dance to, usually whatever Oscar is playing I just want to say in the year that I’ve been training at CFM, I’ve learned to call this place home. The MWL team and CFM family make up the most supportive community that I have ever been a part of. It is truly a privilege to train alongside such hardworking, genuine people. There is not a day that goes by that doesn’t involve me looking forward to coming back and saying hello to everyone again. Thank you all for creating such a wonderful space!
