CrossFit Markham is Hiring

CrossFit Markham is hiring a part time receptionist. We are looking for a candidate that understands our culture, community, and overall approach to health and wellness. The ideal candidate should also currently do CrossFit, or have past experience in training using CrossFit methodologies.

As the gym receptionist, the candidate will be the primary front line worker of the gym, serving as the first point of contact for members and new clients. The candidate will have duties ranging from talking to new clients, registering people for programs, signing up memberships, general maintenance of the gym, filing waivers and recording emails.

Hours: Mondays 5:30-8:30pm, Tuesdays 5:30-8:30pm, Thursdays 5:30-8:30pm.

Duties: Meeting new members, Signing up members, call and email clients, pro shop sales, gym maintenance, social media, member attendance.

Skills needed:
• Basic computer skills.
• Communicate well
• Time management skills
• Ability to self manage

Fitness has always been a part of Steve’s life. He literally grew up in the aerobics room and his first job was cleaning a gym. He is now a co-owner and Head Coach of one. Like other members of his family, he was born with a competitive spirit. He is a three-time CrossFit Games Regional athlete, who also participated in the CrossFit Games in 2016. He’s also competed in the Granite Games as well as Wodapalooza. As a certified coach, Steve’s specialties are perfecting movements and pushing people to a new level of mental and physical strength.
